where do you mount an external fuel pump?

where do you mount an external fuel pump?
I just finished my mini me and plugged all the wires together. My pump just shiiii*t the bed and the fuel tank is full. Just ordered the walbro 255 lhp and was wondering where should i mount it? Do I mount it between the fuel tank line to the external filter or could I mount it between the filter and fuel rail? Noob on this fuel stuff
