Default 3rd grinds below 4k

well my tranny grinds 3rd if the engine is below 4k,when i rag on the car the gear goes in perfectly or if i shift really slow

couple hundred..not to bad...i would say get them through honda/acura cause i doubt your planning on gettin crazy with carbon syncros

would it be easier just to install another tranny?and i keep hearing about syncro fluid that makes the grind go away for a while,any idea where is sold?

Let me weigh in here.

First, have you checked your clutch hydrolic fluid? Have you bled your clutch cylinder yet? That would be the easiest thing.

Second, synchros themselves aren't expensive--it's the labor you pay to install them that gets costly. This requires tearing apart your tranny and rebuilding it, so think long and hard about buying a new tranny.

Third, yes, you can buy Synchromesh tranny fluid but in my experience it only helps if things are *starting* to get rough. If you are already grinding, I highly suggest the first and second options posted above.

well,when we finish the swap the clutch was bleeded,the after a couple of days the pedal went all the way to the floor so i had to bleeded again.maybe i let to much fluid out,ill check tomorrow,its kind of late now,but ill keep in mind what you said.
