ok guys, im so up in the air on what to do here, so here goes...
right now the setup is as follows:
-usdm STOCK gsr block with 130k on the clock
-ported p72 head (not sure on how well it flows, got it this way, doesnt look to be a backyard job)
-crower valvesprings and chromoly retainers
-buddy club spec IV camshafts
-spoon gears
-skunk2 IM
-bdl 70mm tb
-3" short ram intake with stack
-tri-y header (small tube)
-full 2.5" exhaust (no cat or anything) with apexi n1 muffler
-jun flywheel
-b16 hydro trans
The car has been on the dyno a few times, and with stock tb and 98+ itr header it made 186whp 121 wtq and peaked at 8900 rpm...
now, i have rings and bearings to freshen the block, and i was planning to just mill the head .030 or so to bump compression a hair, im really only looking to get it just a bit over 11:1, i was wondering if that is really going to be enough for these cams? or if i should just start looking into some pr3's, or even a 2.0???
and help would be sweet, and yes i know the tb is a little big, ive got pretty much nothing in the setup really, so im pretty happy with it as it is...

oh and im not at all worried about the fact that "if something messes up i wont have much to mill"
just looking to bump compression without stripping my good condition gsr block down just yet...

crap, thats what i was worried about...
so, what are we talkin here? i know these are supposedly streetable cams, so im assuming they would work well on a streetable compression ratio...
ive got some PCT 81.5mm pistons, but i really dont want to use them...
also have the option to do a b20 block, but i dont have hte money to do it right and use a girdle and whatnot...
also crossed my mind to throw the gsr crank into the b20, with the rs machine 84mm pistons, but money is kinda tight...
i can do the destroked b20 for about 700 bucks... including block and everything, or do the pr3's in the gsr and only have to drop enough cash for a set of pr3's (already have new stock rings and acl bearings ready for the stock rebuild)...
i jsut trust the gsr block more (girdle, squirters, etc.)... opinions?

so im going to clay it anyway, but, anyone think milling .030 and using 2 layers of the headgasket will cause p2v issues?
