blown head gasket
The head gasket has just blown for the 3rd time on my Honda Civic 1500 5 spd. 1st time head was milled to true and block checked. No cracks or any other problem found. 2nd time it blew, new gasket was torqued, engine ran to temp, torqued again, let cool and torqued. Mechanic did NOT put in new head bolts. 3rd time it blew after just 50 miles of driving. Slight upgrade last 3 miles to home and temp started rising. Did NOT peg temp display. Shut down and relieved coolant pressure. #2 plug wet .. not gasloline ... Looks like another blow job. Mechanic has been working on these hummers for over 30 years and is mystified as to why this problem. Any suggestions other than get rid of it??
I'd say your block may be the problem. Probably has a fracture somewere in it, maybe around the water jackets.
I guess either get a new car or a whole new engine for the car.

I'm not sure how a block crack would cause a head gasket to blow. Cause a heating problem, yes. I think the heating was due to the blown gasket. Hmm. Any other ideas??
