HF digital dash clock upgrade
Okay, I know this ain't as glamorous as discussing the relative merits of various turbo a/r ratios, but does anybody know whether an HF is prewired for the digital dash clock?
Yes they all come with the wiring. its usually tucked back behind the dummy panel that replaces the clock. just take it out and get a clock assembly from the junkyard and pop it in.
Yes they're all wired. If I was you I'd go looking at the local junkard. You can get one pretty cheap there.
Also remember to be very careful in taking out the center vent. You don't want to break the rigid plastic tabs that hold it in.

I'll have to wait until tomorrow for it to be light out, but it's dead simple. You need to pry out the vent panel that includes the clock area and the remove the plug and unscrew the dead panel and install the clock in the reverse order of the removal.
Ok, here's the pics;
Here's the vent panel removed. I just used a flat head screw driver on the sides by the little clips. You can see one on the side. If you happen to drop one down into the dash they are hard to find again! You can also see one of the two Phillips head screws that actually hold the clock in.

My DX was prewired for the clock. In fact the plug you see was actually plugged into the back of the blank panel.

All done,
