alright i got pulled over for the 10000000 time just for fitting in the fixed up car catagory and they asked 10000000000 questions then made me pop my hood... i dont have a problem doing that because everything i have is legit and carb legal... but they started hassling me because i have a fuel pressure regulator... first time i heard of that ... but they are sending me to state ref. for that but felt like adding a exhaust in that ticket ... so while taking forever to give me the ticket they were snapping pics of everything from side shots of the car, engine bay pics. interior shots, rims, exhaust, vin numbers, even took pictures of my stickers that i had on the rear window... theres a sticker that me and a couple of my friends have on their cars..but they asked 100 question about the sticker and any of my friends cars that have it on my cars.... are cops starting to build profiles on cars and cataloging them like they do on gang members and where they get all their info and take pics of all their tattoos so that can catagorize them according to what gang they are from???.... what are cops upto now and days???? i felt that taking pics on my car was unnecessary to what they pulled me over for

no not at all.. i'm used to it.. i told the story to get to the point of my topic which is ... are they going to start cataloging people with fixed up cars just the way they do gang members???? btw were you trying to be a dick because i couldnt tell???

buddy of mine got nailed with a ref ticket yesterday also. he was initially pulled over for no front plates and it totally escalated from there. i personally do not give any probable cause for cops to pull me over and i keep my car as stock looking as possible with everything legal. exhaust is black and quiet and the intake is CARB legal. keep a low pro dude and have ur plates on... follow the law and you'll be cool.

Then why didn't you asked them why they were taking those millions of pictures of your car? Were you scared that they were going to arrest you or beat you up or something?

 

oh nah i asked and all they said its to cover their ***... then i told them then all they need to take pictures of is my exhaust and the fuel pressure regulator and nothing else and they just stood quiet... them taking too many pics of non-related things on the car made me wonder what new stuff cops are doing ... i was hoping somebody had good insight or something on new things ....

But yeah you’re Wright they are building folders because I had a buddy who has an officer pull him over and the police officer listed off everything in his car without looking because he had it on file

Then wrote him a ticket for it

No hood popping or anything crazy stuff there going after cars and not thieves or gangs pathetic I think

for reals... these cops had an ego like, "we were just certified to inspect cars"... to me, pulling regular car enthusiast over is putting money in their pockets but what happened to putting the criminals in jails and taking them off the street... i guess they look for the easy things to do while on patrol

yea man its pretty crazy out there. I was @ this spot saturday night over here in camarillo (most people in the area know what im talking about), but dude...they shut the whole spot down, and I happened to be over there and was talking to this dude on a motorcycle, and as I pulled away, man...I didnt realize I didn't have my parking lights on, and an undercover cornered me, looked me over, asked for my paperwork, ****** another 2 motorcycle cops came and pulled in behind me, and he was on the walkietalkie checking to see if I had anything on file...fortunately I didn't and he let me go, but dude...they have a warrant on the spot now, saying anyone who is over there can INSTANTLY be searched...CRAZY.

But its all because of dumb **** who try to drift around lamp post and stuff...that spot has been great for YEARS and now its just a ghost town...I can't believe it.

Camarillo is a dust town lol that is why i have car meets at my house in calabasas .....its kool cops don't care and its in a gated community

p.s parkway is a chill place for meets cops dont give a rats *** and if anything some of them like the scene and dont care about car mods

 

My neighbor is a copper and he's given me the run down on what they can and can't do. For instance... you don't have to pop your hood, he said all they can do is send a K9 and IDK any dog in the world that can sniff out a swap and or modded parts.

 

I feel for you on the taking picures part but think about it this way,if a car theft has happen and those stickers and position there in are part of the report they can pinpoint and help solve car thefts in the future..

well lets see how things go and hope cops dont get out of hand in the way things are going for the future

 

No I'm talking about popping a hood. The hood is considered locked just like a glove box and or trunk, and they can't go up in those area's. There was a video here on HT somewhere about knowing your rights and how to get out of a ticket, but I can't find it.
Any whom, most people pop their hoods or let officers search on the strength that their scared for whatever reason... but if you have nothing to be afraid of then I don't see why you wouldn't exercise your rights.

Actually... no, your wrong. When something is locked i.e. trunk, glove box, hood, etc. they would need a search warrant, unless people that think of the cops as ****'s and are terrified of them allow then to do as they please. If people wanna stoop the police, they should get familiar with the 4th Amendment, which guards against unreasonable searches and seizures.
Cops can't just pop anybodys hood, and if they are on zero tolerance issue with Honda's than they should pop every Honda owner they pull over's hood, not just Male's 26 and under. Thats an absolute stereotype.
