same here. i just drive right after i start it. you'll burn gas just idling and its bad for the engine.

in modern cars, you can actually just start up and go.

I let it idle enough for my broken car to stop shaking, then i take it easier than normal until it's at normal temp. Then I still drive it easy .

Wow! I'm so surprised to hear everyone say that they don't wait at least a little bit before they drive off. I've always felt that my car performs better when I let it warm up.

I have that Matrix security system, so I've got remote start...
I let it idle for something like 5-6 minutes while I'm getting ready, so either get the heat, or AC going.
Maximum 12 minutes, that's when the system shuts off if you don't get in the car and insert the key.

proper way to warm up a car is to start it and let it idle for no more than 30 seconds and then start driving it at below 2k rpm's so it slowly warms up.

I do this. Unless I forget something inside the house it's usually no more than 1min idling

if boosted people with over 200whp all the way to 400whp+ dont even need to let it idle, people with bolt ons dont either.
