Question:

How do you install your JDM 4-1 ITR header on your 94-99 GS-R. (If you have done this you know there is a differance in length.)
I do not want to mod the exhaust system. So it seems my only option is to mod the cat or get a custom cat.
Please don't tell me to get a custom test pipe. I already know half of you people went this way. What have the rest of you all done?

Also any lose of low end or mid range.

you wil have to shorten the length of your exhuast. I too had this same problem. i installed my jdm dc 4-1 and my apex world sport on my 94 gsr.

i took my car to the muffler shop.. with the header and exhuast installed.. ( NO CAT) and there was about 10" for a cat to be fitted in. It was impossible to fit the cat so i had to shorten my exhuast a lil.

the muffler shop i went to installed a generic high flow cat and made that **** fit.

 

Carsound Cat 54006 will work with a JDM 4-1 header or other 2.5" collector headers to fit. No exhaust modifications needed.

 

Andy contact SMSP tell him the year of your car and he'll know the exact size.

 

Dave or Mike at IPS will get you what you need ready to bolt up. There isn't any need to modify any exhaust lengths. The cat does it for you.
