Ist Gen B16A vs 2nd Gen B16 Need some clarification
My neighbor is selling a 1st Gen B16A, I've searched and all I found is it's got 10:2.1 CR vs 10.4:1 CR from the 2nd Gen B16. Cam rails are made differently and the O2 sensors and dizzy are different. But can a 1st Gen head be used on a 2nd or 3rd Gen Block without any mods?
What are the other major differences? Cams, vavletrain, etc?

Any generation head may be used on any generation block.
1st cams have the least amount of lift and duration of b16a.
LMAs in the 1st gen have a sharp point while 2nd gen or newer use a more rounded point.

Oh, okay, but say I just wanted to use if for the bare head, get it port and polished, and used all my gsr valvetrain, rockers, etc. it wouldn't be any different than using a 2nd or 3rd gen b16 head right?
