Avid Racing's 5th Anniversary Sleeper Edition Mounts.



First of all, we would like to thank Franklin & The Crew @ Avid Racing for supplying us with the first set of these new sleeper edition black pro series mounts.
These will be available in all Pro-Series Applications, And all Urethane street mounts for all applications. Avid's Torque Mounts will also be released in black.
These will be readily available in about 3-4 days, contact your local Avid Dealer for pricing information

nice, they should also offer a black'ed out pro series traction bar to go along with these mounts.
I'm sure they could make anything you wanted if you sent them a set of stock mounts. Don't quote me on that, but I believe I heard Franklin say that before.

I assume this was done to target JHP's black anodized Hasport mount kits?
Powdercoating covers up a lot of "issues" and chips easily on aluminum, I think they would look nicer anodized..

So is it Krylon, Powder coat, anodizing, black dye, dookie.....whats on it?

LOL, as if Avid didn't have enough issues with "losing stuff in the mail" (atleast for us).....now they have black mounts

hehe....we had a few problems with AVID, but they are good now. I think you just have to "REALLY" talk to Franklin......

These mounts are powdercoated.
I don't see what the problem with powdercoating is? No one talks crap about AEM for powdercoating their intakes?

deff gotta be paint. its very wavy 4 powder coating unless they put 2 much & anodizing would shine better & deff be smooth. i can see the build up around the bolt holes of paint they wont stay that way long.
