Default How accurate is the PR3 ECU's redline, Nitrous question.

jdm b16a in an 89 hatch, pr3 ECU, obd0.

What is the ECU redline, exactly.

The reason I need to know is I'm running a 75 shot wet Zex nitrous kit and an MSD 3-step launch control.

If you can count on the factory ECU to cut fuel at say 8200rpm (estimate), I was going to set the MSD rev limiter to 8100. I don't want to be pumping nitrous through the motor and have the fuel shut off when I hit the rev limiter...

Anybody with thoughts on this?

Thanks,
-Vector

set it at 8000 rpm. I hit my redline and it goes just passed 8000rpm. I would set it just before to be on the safe side like you stated.
