Ok guys not sure if this is the right place to post this or not but it is drag racing. Our car club will be hosting our 5th Annual Drag Races and Car show on July 12th. Incase you've never heard of it, DTPRACEWARS was started back in 2003 by D.T.P. Racing car club in Royal City WA. The event consists of legal 1/4 mile drag racing out in a private airstrip located in Royal City, anything goes just choose your oponnent line up and race. The airstrip is atleast a mile long and its wide enough to race four cars at once. This event is similar to streetracing except its a lot safer we have police, ambulances and local fire department standing by incase anything goes wrong. Last year we had thousands of people watching and hundreds of cars racing. KAIZENSPEED from Kennewick will be there with some of their cars as well as other shops around the area. There is competiton for everyone from 15sec daily drivers to 9sec race cars. Here are some videos from last year's event.

I wish we had some events like that here. This state is the worst but at least no emissions

 

4 1/2 hour drive from Portland. I just might have to make the trip. Looks like fun.

I went to one back in 05-06' and had a blast.

Straight heads up races, with out the traffic tickets.
Looks like its getting bigger and bigger every year.
Good to see you guys are still doing this.

where do you sign up? this is right around my block but never had a chance to attend. i bet reid at kaizenspeed is gunna take it again this year with the talon

 

Im going for sure cant wait, looks super fun.. whats tech like there? lol...But im leaving tacoma friday sometime?? the 11th with 4 cars we should set up a place to meet.. get a bunch of cars together to cruise out there with.. theres camping and hotels out there..

The nearest hotels are in Othello and Moses Lake both are no more then a half hour drive from the races.

 

What about camping at the airstrip?
