For about a month now my maintanence light has been on. Since I'm such a worrier, I wanted to know what is the check list of items that are "detected" through the maintanence light (brakes, belts, etc)? Thanks.

soooooo, where was that worrier a month ago when the ligtht came on? Holy.... just wondering how long you'd drive if the oil light came on, or if the temperature guage was reading hot?

Judging by your name you should do a search for the ecu codes for an obd2 prelude and then a new search to find out how to extract the codes. you dont need to know everything that the ecu checks, you'd be there till your hair was gray. All you need is to know the location of the fault in your particular case.

 

the maintanence light is for oil changes, it comes on automatically every 5000 miles i think. on integras there is a button under the dash that you push and it goes off. dont worry about it, its different than the check engine light.

 

yea whens the last time you changed your oil

 

It comes on at 10,000 mi. That seems like way too many mikes to me for a oil change!
