94 EG
B16a2
NO CELs

Swapped in b16. cranked her up and she idles perfectly, but when i give it gas i she revs to 2-3k and dies out. The dizzy is brand new so are the plugs. As soon as i tap the gas she starts boggin and if i keep my foot on the gas she dies out completely. Timing is on. anyone out there have this problem before?

If your sure the timing is right, then check the fuel filter as mentioned above. A lot of the time that is the problem, its lets enough flow for a idle but is so clogged it can supply enough fuel above idle.

check for cracks in the air intake. (pgi-fi?) also. you may have a clogged injector, or ones not working. what do you mean it dies? when you punch it and let off does it go back to idle? if its that check you dizzy timing!

no i mean, when i cut the car on it starts up and idles fine. But when i give it gas once it hits around 2500-3k rpms if i leave my foot on the gas it cuts off, but if i let off while its bogging and choking then she goes back to idle. She idles all day.

Sounds like im having almost the exact same problem Only difference may be That sometimes I can pump the gas pedal and it starts taking gas but something aint right. Please let me know if and when you figure it out. I will do the same if I figure it out. Oh by the way, a mechanic said it sounded like a weak fuel pump but I havnt followed up on it and tested it yet. Later

Just a wild guess, but if the pump doesn't do it, try hittin the gas with your
exhaust manifold off.

if he had a clogged cat, the car wouldnt have no power. im thinking theres a vaccum line in the wrong spot, or off. Fuel injectors would do that also. but if it were FI's then it would run rough idling also. worth a try taking the manifold off.
