Alright so tomorrow night will be my first time taking my EG Hatch out to the track...never done the 1/4 mile before so im looking for any suggestions at all! Launch suggestions, any techniques, what did you guys struggle with your first few times out? Best way to improve my time? Also with this setup what should i be launching at? Kinda dissapoitned i wasnt able to get some better tires before i went... Oh well maybe by next week.

Engine

Skunk2 stage 2 cams
BDL cam gears
Omni power springs
Omni power retainers
ARP head studs

Thermal Intake manifold gasket
RC 310 injectors
Chipped ECU with data logging
I think that’s it??

LS block
Fresh honed
New OEM P30 pistons (11.7:1~ compression)
New OEM Oil pump GSR
New OEM Water pump GSR
ARP Rod bolts

Integra Type R transmission 97 spec LSD
Exedy Stage 1 organic clutch

Breathing/Cooling
Megan Racing header
2.25 exhaust (no cat)
Intake system
GSR radiator

Any feedback appreciated!
Also, any idea what i SHOULD be able to run with this setup?

too bad i am gone this wknd! i would love to be out there tommorow. i went last fri and broke my tps sensor( my edelbrock mani is a tight fit in the EF bay ) only got 1/2 a run in, haha.

as far as your setup goes, there's way to many variables to say what times you will run... alot depends on the tires, and it sounds like your just on streets.

i say air them down a bit, drive around the burnout box and play with your launch rpm. pre-loading with the ebrake is the best way to launch imo.

good luck!

What PSI should i run the tires at? Shitty federal tires... bad tread

what psi do you run them at normally? from a guess standpoint as i dont have any experience with running street tires, i would say 20-25psi. start high and work your way down to see if your times/traction improve. dont go too low as your tire will start to cup.

old school way to see if your contact patch is good is to lay a patch on some pavement. then inspect the marks, heavy black down the center is too much psi, and two lines with nothing down the center is too low psi. you want it black all the way across

This is coming from someone who has seen it happen many times first hand.

For your first time out, just go out and enjoy the experience... and don't stall the car.

You won't be cutting your best times so don't get dissappointed with your higher than expected times. Happens/ed to all of us.

So i ran about 7 or 8 times last night...

First run: 16.4
Second: 15.6
Third: 15.3

Best: 15.23

After my third run of 15.3 i had 4 others between 15.3 and 15.4.
Even on my best run i spun for [freak]ing ever... Cant wait to get some new tires and go back next week! I see no reason why I cant make 14s... i was so close on my first night going!

60' is way slow, but it looks like your car is not making the power it should. Definitely not actually.

Get that **** tuned.

Yea I just got back from the drag races. You should be running much better then that.
The track I went to was just a 8th mile. I will have to go back and look at my slips to see what my best time was...but I do know my 60' was better then what your showing...

Oh I just have a stock b18a in a crx.

If I was you I would prob check on getting a new tune!

Well here is my time slip...
Now the track I went too wasnt exactly 1/8th mile. It was more like 300 ft or so. IDK, I guess you can still see my 60 ft time and stuff.
Reaction---- .3331
60 ft-------- 2.4309
1/8 ET------ 6.3507
1/8 mph---- 52.08

As you can see my reaction time wasnt the greatest...but like I said this was my first time drag racing EVER!... This was actually my 2nd run out of the 3 I made that night.

I really got to get some drag radials or something...My tires were spinning badddddd...

You should be running much faster than that. I had a similar set up with a stock B16 tranny in a crx and was low 13's
