2007 Honda Civic EX Wiper Nozzles
I have a 2007 Civic EX. As of recent, everytime I hit a bump wiper fluid sprays out the nozzles. I have taken the car to a local shop and they said they can't figure out whats wrong. They said if you hit the side of the tank with your hand it sprays out as well. No dealership in my area has heard of this happening either.
Dealerships suggested changing the nozzles, but I find it hard to believe that its the nozzles because they both started doing it at the exact same time.
Anyone have any suggestions?

From the diagrams, there seems to be a washer motor. Seems like fluid goes through that to the nozzles, maybe the outlet is stuck open or something.
Does the spray work when operating normally?

I can't see anything else that could possibly shut the fluid while it's not in use.

Thanks for the link. This will definitely help. It does sound like it might be just something loose around the pump area. I just had fog lights installed and it had been doing it ever since. The shop I took it to is the place that installed the fog lights. Needless to say I won't be going there again. If worse comes to worse I will buy a new pump for it.
Thanks for the info and I will post the resolution once I find time to figure it out.

have the dealership replace them...you should not have to do it. that is why there is a warranty. dont let them say that you have to do it or that you should go and pay for something. if they refuse, file a complaint.
to back yourself up, take a video of this happening.

That will be the last resort. I have to take the undercarriage partially off to change the fog light bulbs, so I will take a look at it then. Otherwise, the closest dealership is 2 hours away so will have to hold off on the dealerships resolution.
When they looked at it the second time they said that they disconnected the wiper pump's power and it still squirted out when the tank was bumped. So it definitely isn't electrical.
I'd look for anything on that diagram starting from the nozzle back to see if there is something that supposed to shut the fluid off when not in used and it's stuck open for some reason. But then again, if it's open but the pump is not on, where is the pressure that pushed the fluid out? If the bump on the tank could squirt out, too much fluid? If you get to the dealer for the fix, update us on what happened, might come in handy if it ever happens to me.
Ya, I will for sure. I might take a look at it next weekend. But doesn't sound like a very common issue because no dealership in Alberta has heard of it happening.
