I have a 1990 civic si with an auto tranny
yesterday i was driving and the car started revving and shifting weird, and then i stopped at a light, when it turned green i hit the gas and the engine revved but the car wouldnt move. I turned the car off then back on and i was able to drive again for a very short time before the same problem happened again.
i checked the fluid and it was low so i topped it up but im still having the problem
its also making a really weird sound
any ideas?

 

the trans is slippin you prob should look for a used trans

 

i say get rid of the auto and do a 5 speed swap like i did its not that difficult
