air condition make car idle too low
Search and didn't find anyone with the same problem, need some help with me a/c. When ever i turn on my a/c it makes my car idle way to low, for the most part it dies out. NOTE for some reason the compressor wasn't getting power so jumped it from the condenser fan.

when the compressor kicks on, it is supposed to idle higher.
with u jumping it from the fan, i think u bypassed the idle up crap it has
thus creating to much of a load
on my sdn, even thought the compressor is crap, leaking and making bad noises, it still idles up the motor.

does it blow cold when you jump the compressor out? if not you dont have enough refrigerant in the system and thats why you have to jump it out to engage the clutch. if it does blow cold its a wiring problem.
i've jumped the compressor off of the battery and still made my car idle low. it does blow cold air and i did just refill the freon.
in that case id refer to spikehead post. it sounds like a wiring prob to me because tha system is charged but not idling up or kicking on. time for a wiring diagram from haynes or chiltons and start chasing wires/testing curcuits.
