on warm days my car idles real bad and shuts off. What are my options to increase idle?
1992 Si. I've done 2 things that have helped increase the idle. Adjusted the distributor and adjusted the idle screw. On warm days my idle will jump up and down and then it'll go so low it'll shut off. I've had to also turn on my headlights and that helps it not idle low and shut off. Otherwise I'm lost and help would be appreciated. Thanks
forgot to add that it idled fine until a recent timing belt change, then it's idled low ever since

check your IAC valve, that could be causing your idle to drop and die. There's also another valve that causes the rpm to go up and down, it's the Fast Idle Thermo Valve, it's under the Throtle body, you can try and clean it up. I replaced my IAC valve and solved the problem, but it's not always the case.
IAC valve, it's on the Intake Manifold, unplug the connector to see if you see any changes first.
