Just curious... does anyone else have troubles shifting into first gear with Pennzoil synchromesh fluid? Stopped or rolling...

 

seeing as how you just changed it i guess, are you sure theres enough in it, since it doesnt matter if its rolling or not.

 

your fluid shouldn't be an issue, and i've never found a rolling start into first easy in a sohc though you haven't told us what you're driving.

 

gsr tranny with ls 5th.

 

I doubt it is the fluid causing the shifting issue..

Every Honda I have owned has had the famous first gear shifting troubles.

If I let out of the clutch (exedy twin disc) a little bit it usually goes right into gear.

Could be an issue with the linkage or synchro...

 

i'm using pennzoil synchromesh on my y8 tranny and no probs here.
