Well wouldnt the video signal be the same for a pc monitor as it would be for the video input on the pioneer?I am just asking since I have seen people do it with a car pc.

I know it doesnt supply the signal by itslef but can the signal be forwarded after the laptop to the avic to display properly on its screen.Sorry for not being clear with the question.

Just get an iphone to do it. There's got to be an APP for that too
I'm sure there's got to be a way to do it. Find an old Radio Shack salesperson and he/she should be able to point you in the right direction.

Data from the EMS is translated by the graphic user interface software. You would use a vga to video RCA cable to connect the vga signal from your laptop to your Pioneer.
I tuned a NSX running an AEM ecu for an engineer at Clarion. He had a clarion headunit and he was able to display any and all data from the AEM on his double din clarion headunit in the dash. He also had the JDM center portion of the dash that comes setup for a double din so the install was suuuuper clean. I don't remember how he did it (I tuned this car over three years ago) but I think he had a mini PC permanently installed in the car and he had some sort of video card output on the PC that he was feeding into his headunit.
