really depends and ITBS while helping peak are more known for part throttle and fatting up torque curve.

Sometimes the noobage is astounding.........

Here is a comparison for you, You can get ITB's done and tuned for 2k,
or you can HMT boost it for 2k and have literally twice or more the power.....

Since you have a B16, the only thing that will make that engine not feel like a D series is a turbo.

On a stock B16 just installing ITB's and tuning will probably get about 15-20hp to the wheels. However you will lose your bottom end drastically. You would be better off and probably faster if you just tune the car without the ITB's.

Build the engine for what you want to do with the car. If you want a fast street car your probably looking for reliability as well. You cannot just throw a big turbo on it and call it a day. To turbo an engine you should upgrade the entire thing respectively(i.e. pistons, rods, fuel and ignition system, engine management etc.)

Do some reading on what other people have done and what they have to say about it. Research and form your own opinion of what will be YOUR best options, as far as what you're building the car to do and what you can afford.
Then come on here and ask your Q. Good Luck

i said go with a turbo. i ran into the same prob but just that my car has an ls motor. the turbo will produce more power with less money spent. while the itb will take more cash out of your wallet. im pretty sure just the itb manifold cost close to a t3 turbo kit. A Garret one.

If you’re into running on twisty mountain roads and cornering, then Individual Throttle Bodies (ITB’s) would suit you because of the increased throttle response (improved mid range). You would have more fun controlling the car with the throttle mid-corner and getting instant throttle response at corner exit. Another plus for ITB’s is the amazing sound coming from the induction and ITB’s look cool.

If you’re into drag racing, top speed runs, or running on a road coarse with a really long straight, then turbo would suit you. You could get more power (boost) from the mid-upper rpm’s to overtake slower cars or finish ahead of them at the end of the strip.

Myself, I’m into cornering so I’d prefer the ITB’s.

I was thinking 84mm bore, 12.1 compression, good cam, oversized valves, and some porting to the head. Im doing itbs(TWM)! Dont get me wrong I like drag racing, but I like driving the car through a changing road rather than going in a straight line. I just wanted some input from yall. Ive built several turbo motors but never messed with itbs So thaks for everyones time that acuttally gave input in stead bickering backm and fourth. THANKS

Sounds like a good start. Don't forget an engine management system.
Good Luck, and post when you get it done
