Default axle seal leaking

i have an axle seal leak after i change my intermediate shaft on my jdm b16 tranny. the previous intermediate shaft connects to the axle as a female, i change the intermediate shaft with the male end connects to the axle instead. Now i have an axle seal leak what might be the problem. Please can any help me?

the problem is that your axle seal is worn

or your half shaft isnt in all the way

or you put way too much tranny fluid in

if its the seal, just pull out the half shaft, pry out the seal, tap a new one in with some wood or a socket and reinstall

i had a trans that kept leaking after i changed the seal. turned out to be a bad diff

if you take your axle out and put your finger in the hole and move it around does the diff move around a lot? if so you had what i had, carrier bearings failed and broke the diff. another way to tell is if its hard to go into 1st gear

if not its probably just the seal or axle aint in all the way.
