im sorry if this topic has been brought up before. i searched and couldnt find anything. Since ive done my H22 swap i have never used anything other than Sunoco Ultra 93, but i simply cant afford to do that anymore. life has been really expensive lately. i know the H22 requires premium fuel but honestly if i were to start running regular gas how much would it really affect the engine?? thanks and sorry if this has been broughten up before.
When I first got my lude I was puttin regular in it and let me tell you, it ran like ****! You get knocking from 'pre ignition' in the pistons. Middle grade isn't as bad but definately do not put in 87! A piston could eventually break if you keep puttin 87 in cuz it's constantly hittin that fire wall too early.

If you really wanna save a buck, just mix 87 and 93. It's not good for the engine really. Sure, you can get away with it a few times but don't make it a habit
