4 door ef front spindles the same as an 2 door and auto or manual axles are both the same?

I have a 89 crx hf manual I cant find a trans so i need to ask this
The only ef around me are auto 4 doors.

I am gonna try to use the 4 door spindles on my 89 hf crx so i can use other trannys then the hf. Like the dx, si from crx/ef

Lmk if i can use 4 door spindles just like the 2 door ef and does it matter if its auto or manual?

 

Yes you can use the 4 door spindles. Yes auto and manual spindles are the same. HF's and std's have smaller hubs with I think a 2 less spline count than the si/dx.

</TD></TR></TABLE>you don't need to swap out the knuckles/hubs on your HF to use a DX/Si transmission - just bolt it in and use the HF axles - the only time you need to swap knuckles/hubs is when you are switching to the larger Integra type axles, like for a B-series swap or for a DOHC ZC swap using the ZC transmission and intermediate shaft

 

whether you need them or not, you can use them.

just know that EX sedan knuckles have larger rotors, but its more rare to find anyway.

and DX/LX sedans have different rotor size than crx's and hatches. slightly different, i know for sure. not sure if that means the caliper sis completely different or not as well. so just check.

itd be a good idea to swap out the HF front calipers with the knuckles since theyre much smaller.

 

I know the hf and si dx use the 20-22mm spline.


I Need to know about the manual and auto axles.

This is my problem.

I bought a 89 hf crx it is missing the axles and trans.

The only ef cars i can find around me is 4 doors i know the trans out of a 4 door will work, so i plan on using a dx trans out of a manual 4 door. My problem is i dont have hf axles.

It would be cheaper for me to get the 4 door spindles and throw them on with the 4 door dx trans. (again i know the 4 door ef and 2 door/crx trans will fit)

I need to know if i can use automatic axles and spindles as i can get them for free.

 

automatic "spindled" aka knuckles, will be fine.

im not 100% sure on the axles, im pretty sure its ok.

 

Auto and manual axles are the same, just the differences between models like already discussed.

I need local so that way i can save on shipping and prevent me from getting ripped off, while making sure the said items are in working order.

 

Would ex axles off a 99 (or any year 90-00)and shift linkage work on my hf crx 89 as long as i use dx/si hubs off another ef?

I haven't tryed but I highly doubt it.
