grinding when making right turns
This started after the b18 swap. i removed the dust rings from inside the hubs, but i didnt see anything to remove on the axle which people have talked about. this is the only illustration i could find that shows the seal on the axle thats supposed to be removed.

but like i said i dont recall anything being on the axles for me to remove. Not on the 94 abs teg axle that i used for the pass. side, nor the new 90-91 da non abs axle.
Anyway its kind of a grinding noise like something spinning and rubbing against something else. definately something metal i'm pretty sure. i cant recall it happening on left turns, pretty sure its just right. if your doing like 10mph coming around a turn it does it, but if you take the same turn slowly and the car isnt like swaying through the turn then it doesnt do it. when the suspension comes into play and starts compensating for a turn is when it seems to get angry. also i've noticed it will do it sometimes if im pulling up into my driveway at an angle, and just the bumps seem to cause it.
its difficult to tell if the rubbing is consistent with the speed of the axles, or if its something spinning with, or attached to the engine that is hitting something on the frame.
I'm going to look more into this. but i figured i'd share my problem, and if i get lucky maybe someone else has experienced something similar to this.

what year b18 did u put in there?
i just finished my swap(2000 ls motor) and the crank pulley rubs on the frame rail because of the extra powersteering and ac **** on the crank pulley

its a 94. and yea mine does have the extra ribs for the a/c and p/s ****. i'll take a look at that and see if its been hitting the frame.
yep that was like the first thing i checked. the one side was rubbing a little bit, it was bent up in the process of trying to pry apart ball joints. once i checked both sides i went out for a drive again and the sound from the shield stopped, which was more of a constant rub that occured when coming around a slow bend.

well you guys were right. it was the crank pulley..

now i know the ctr pulley will fix this but is that the only option i have? reason i ask is these things seem quite expensive, like $100 for a friggin pulley
anywhere someone can point me to find one of these things for fairly cheap? i've mozied through ebay but not seein much
