Default Removing gasket material......

I've got a minor coolant leak coming from the #4 intake runner area just above the thermostat housing. Anyways I'm willing to bet the intake manifold gasket developed a leak. (Skunk2 manifold) What is an effective tool for removing the old gasket? Puddy knife? Will this damage the head and/or manifold? Are there any effective chemicals such as acetone that will aid in this? Thanks for your coments.

Just use a metal scraper.

That's what I always use to remove gasket material.

Just make sure not to score the surface.

Agreed. I have a set of scrapers. Just use them VERY carefully.
