Default arp head studs, torque?

I have arp head studs and the nuts are seperate from the stud and there is an allen key hole. How tight should I tighten them with the allen key before I put the nut on? any help is apreciated.

Make sure your bolt holes are clean first of all. No liquid, debris etc. a threadchaser might be helpful. Then as far as the actual studs themselves go. I usually just snug them up. Then follow arp's torque specs for your application. DO NOT follow honda torque specs.

Follow the ARP instructions. The details are in there.

FYI, the studs should be secured in hand tight. The allen key boss on top is only used when taking them out.

Used or new... guy

If used, throw them away... you'll save yourself some headache.

(while I know and understand that they can be used again, I would NEVER put a part like that USED on my car)
