Default Quick noob question about front red "A" emblem...

I'm replacing my front emblem and from the looks of the new one, there are just two prongs that go into the bumper cover to align it.

The Son's site specifies that there is a nut that may hold it on. For the guys that have removed the original, is this true or is this just for the normal chrome emblems on the other DC2's?

I just don't want to remove anything other than the old pink emblem on there now.

My '98 Teg just had two prongs, but my girl's '94 has something else holding it on from the back.

Matt,

on the back of the two prongs there are self locking washers....they look similar to this.....

I just broke them off and did not re-install them on the new badge....they are there to help it stay on, but mine have not come off yet.....

just clean the area really well so the adhesive back sticks well...

Thanks Cameron... I just pryed the emblem with a wide chisel with a piece of plastic between it and the paint and VOILA!! it popped off and snapped those prongs off the old pink emblem. A little bit of gasoline and rag and a my wife's blowdryer were all a needed to remove the adhesive. No harm, no foul...

Centercaps are on, the rear decal and emblem go on tomorrow morning before work. Damn I'm a dork.

It's the simple things.
