Default 1998 Honda Civic erratic running at Low rpm with no codes

I had my mechanic change the timing belt and while doing that he changed all 3 of the other belts at the same time, everything was fine for a couple of days then I had a #2 oxygen sensor go bad and had it changed after it started running with some hesitation around the 2k to 3k rpm range after warmup but runs good above that rpm The code for the ox sensor was cleared and there are no other codes in his Snap-on code reader, The only thing that is says is that there can be a misfire if you didn't use a Genuine Honda Alternator Belt. We have never heard of anything like this and it is driving us nuts trying to figure it out so any help would be appreciated............

what brand of O2 sensor did you use?

i would think that if the alt. is turning, the belt is working.
