Default Gas station for 08 SI?

Which gas station do you go to for your Civic SI? Is going to ARCO for premium gas damaging to the Civic SI? Off topic, but what kind of gas does the EX take? 89 plus? Thanks.

I've never used arco once with my si. I prefer going to 76, but use chevron/mobil too if I have too.

I think 76/chevron/mobil/shell all have quality premium fuel.

I have used Shell V-Power 93 since day 1. Never had an issue and I highly recommend it.

EX takes 87. no need for 89. As fas as gas for an Si. anywhere you can get 91 should be good. IMO tho 76 or Shell is the best but always more expensive.

I get my gas at Costco tho.

it is the same gas where ever you go. why do people say arco is bad? I don't know where people hear that from but its stupid.

ARCO is owned by BP, so theyre not as bad as the "Happy Gas" station around the corner.

Well I use Exxon/Mobil *cheapest in my Area*, Arco is not bad, just I prefer, Exxon/Mobil, 76 and Shell because their additives/detergents is what is the difference between all the gas stations!

the detergents are required by the state to meet the pollution regulations. But if by additives u mean the v-power and stuff, then i can appreciate that.

My first post, don't hate...

I got interested in gas / gas mileage / price per gallon / best gas / best additives with my 2008 Civic LX... Then I just bought a 2008 Civic Si.

Here is an interesting article (without statistics) about which gas is better... $50 worth of Shell or $50 worth of Safeway brand gas. You'll end up pumping less gallons with Shell but more miles.

Refer: http://wiki.answers.com/Q/Whic...leage

So, back to my first car the 08CivLX, I kept an analysis of every fill-up and gas station:

Gas Station - Miles - Gallons - MPG

76 - 234.1 - 9.233 - 25.35
76 - 238.1 - 9.981 - 23.86
76 - 233.3 - 9.501 - 24.56
76 - 225.6 - 9.643 - 23.40
76 - 171.6 - 6.612 - 25.95
76 - 211.7 - 9.851 - 21.49
76 - 254.4 - 10.434 - 24.38
76 - 266.7 - 10.4 - 25.64
76 - 246.1 - 9.457 - 26.02
76 - 229.7 - 9.077 - 25.31
76 - 270.2 - 9.764 - 27.67
Shell - 273.6 - 10.851 - 25.21
Chevron - 240.7 - 8.515 - 28.27

I'd bore you with more stats, but you get the picture... The car started with 10 miles and the last reading was around 4750 miles. So take it for what's it worth, but it looks like all gas was getting relatively the same mileage... just dependent on my driving habits.

Old car = Galaxy gray - 08 Civic LX Auto. - Sedan
Galaxy Gray - 08 Civic Si Man. - Sedan (can someone tell me the cool way to say all that, ie NHBP FA2BQ 08SI BHFAA)?
