Summit and PasswordJDM sells relocation kits but you can just piece together a kit for less then half of what they sell it for (wish I did ). When I did mine I just ran the power wire through the fire wall (and use a grommet) on the passenger side and run it along with the fuel lines straight to the back.

yes, you could find a spot... but IMO i wouldnt. thats 40 or so pounds off of the front wheels, and more to the back.. which in turn can have an effect on your traction.

i was thinking about that but its not too big of a deal as long as ya got good tires...besides i wanna make room for this massive carbon fiber intake i found on password jdm...its so big i need the battery out to make it fit, but i think its will all be worth it...

Make sure you get a sealed battery. The Odyssey PC680's are the most popular.

And here are some good reads:

You know, i thought that they were usually front heavy, and dont we want to do exactly that? take weight off the front? i would assume that being closer to 50/50 would be better....
right?

what? noo theres no way.. what you need is all the weight in the front, cause when you launch its going to naturally throw the weight to the back, and loose traction.. ever see the civic drag cars that have a wheelie bar??? reduce that throw back by:

well say there is no way to get less than 2700 pounds.. the motor is a good chunk of the weight.. use the rest of the weight on the front and stiff springs in the rear will stop the roll.. thats why rwd is so nice for traction, all the weight is transmissed to the back wheels... best traction.

Depends on what you want from the car. 50/50 is ideal weight distribution for great handling. If you're gonna drag the car then I guess you want to keep the weight up front? I'm not sure.

Be sure to secure that battery real good.

Yeah like what they're saying. If ur gonna drag, leave it up front, but if its anything else, ur better off moving it out of the front. Someplace low and on the passenger side is good. Such as in the passenger's seat. Who cares about the passenger? Or right behind the passenger seat. But please, dont put it over the rear axle.

The only time you have a dramatic unloading of the front wheels is under hard acceleration from a stop. Otherwise the weight transfer is significantly less.

Moving the battery to the center/passenger side moves weight closer to the center of gravity, and possibly lower. And also decreases the moment of inertia. Plus it'll help offset the side to side imbalance of the dork in the driver's seat

Find a nice, solid piece of metal near the battery, and use that as your ground. Bare metal with dielectric grease is preferable. Make sure your box is vented to the outside of the car.

Also make sure you put a inline fuse on your power wire. You want it 6-12 inchs from the battery. Its really easy to do. I done it to my car....you can check it out in my build thread.
