Default 1990 Accord LX 2dr coupe manual Shifting problems

I bought the car for $500 with a rebuilt motor and new clutch just put in, from a family friend.

A week or two after getting it, my car wasn't shifting right; I found out later my slave cylinder was bone dry. I didn't think much of it, refilled it and it worked fine.

Every three to five days I had to refill the slave cylinder.

Then, about two weeks ago it acted up again, and now seems to be stuck in a gear, feels like its in neutral, but when I let off the clutch it stalls/dies.

I've read on here it could be the slave cylinder because it is leaking a little on the inside of the firewall, coming out where the clutch pedal is.

All of the linkage of the clutch is moving fine, just stuck in gear I think.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks for reading also.

the clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder are common things to replace on these cars. The one on the firewall is the master. I would do both at the same time and bleed the system hydralic system.

just did all of that then my select and shift cables running from the stick to the clutch snapped so now I have to shell out $345.10 at a dealer for a new one unless i find one in a junkyard (it'd be a miracle)
