would putting a y8 cam and cam gear in a z6 head throw my car off cause since i swapped them over it is only fireing on cylinder 2 and 4

 

I doubt swapping the cam itsself would mess anything up. Did you swap the cam gears around to make the y8 cam have the z6 cam gear? I think not doing that might throw the static timing off. Don't quote me on that though. When in doubt swap the cam back out.
