I haven't done the swap, but I thought the range various. I've heard as low as $800 to as high as $2,500. It all depends on what kind of deals you can get, whether you use new parts or used parts, and who you have do the labor. I would guess if you did it yourself and found some good deals, you could easily be around a grand. In my opinon, it's not worth the headache of swaping unless you plan on turboing that f22 at the same time or later down the road.

It's so much easier to sell your car and buy one that already has the 5mt. I wouldn't waste the time or money unless you really love your car.

Is cost the biggest issue for whether you go through with the project? I imagine the cost would vary tremendously depending on where you sourced the parts. If you have a donor car, or if you end up having to get a lot of stuff from the dealer...

Amazing so here's a list I made you

#'s 1-15 on his list

$1 -> $20000000 / part

A transmission isn't going to be the same price anywhere other than a dealership. He gives you the parts you need, then he lists websites to hunt at (junkyard search and a honda dealership)

Seriously would you like someone to baby step you through?

Like the person above said, generally it's cheaper to sell your current car and keep the mods then apply them to what you want.

As a recommendation if you do plan on doing it - a nonrunning donor car is ALWAYS the best, buy it cheap then sell the parts to make the $$ back.

yes its a good deal but depends on in wat codition the engien is. cuz u can get a 97accord 110km but the engien could be messed up but who ever drove it befor so jus be cearfull wen u buy it and also if u can get a 5spd its better but swaping is not that expencive either. at the end it is a good deal if there is nothing rong with the engine.

Judging from your area yes, though do a KBB and Carfax on it before buying it.

Easiest if you're not dead set on manual? H22A with Auto LSD I considered doing that.

Do the swap!
As said above a donor car is ideal. I used a donor car for my swap. I have the 94 but the 97 swap is identical. If donor vehicle isn't plausible then buy the parts used. Tranny:$150-300 Pedal assembly:$20-75 Axle/Int Shaft:$50-150 ECU:$80-120
$500 should be more than enough after it's all said and done. A manual is good to have

if u can find a junk yard around u carry taht accord, with everything in it like no one strip parts off engine bay and ****, pay them 300 for the whole car, then take it home and strip everything to ur car, and BAM there is ur set up, my friend had a 95 civic so there no problem gettin parts he got a donar car with blown motor for 200 bucks... and he swap it with 200 bucks, and sold the door hood, fender, interior and some misc parts for more than 200.. so if u can find a donar car then ur set!!!!

The automatic center dash trim has the same dimension cut-out for the auto shifter as a same year/model manual shift boot trim. The automatic shifter also uses the same 4 mounting locations as the manual shifter and so the manual shifter will stick through the center dash trim in the same location. BASICALLY it looks dead stock after the swap

The EX F22b1 5spd has slightly longer gears than the tranny from the F22b2 (DX,LX). I have the F22b1 vtec motor with the F22b2 tranny and it is a nice combo. The H22 tranny bolts right up and is very close to the F22b1(EX) tranny and so there is no real point in getting the H22 tranny. Generally they are slightly more expensive.
