Default ITR valve springs!

Hello,

Ive been using CTR/ITR cams for the last 7 months. Now im ready to upgrade to an upper level. Im ordering cam gears and OEM ITR valve springs and retainers.

I was wondering how high can I safely rev with the stock ITR valves springs and retainers?! And also with the stock B16A2 internal!

Also, is it a good idea to upgrade to a B18C5 ECU! Or should I simply raise the rev limite on my stock ECU!

Thank You!

ITR valvesprings are good to ~9100 rpm.

If I were you I'd get an OBDII-OBDI wiring harness and a chipped P28 ECU. I recommend a Mugen program.

Thank You!

And what about the internals?

I do not plan on reving higher then 8500rpm anyway since the engine will probably not make power up there!

I only want to be able to use the CTR cams powerband and also drop higher on the powerband when im racing!

I wouldn't worry at all about revving a stock B16 bottom end to 9100rpm.

The car will make power up there now.

Get the stuff I mentioned above and get it on the dyno.

See where the power drops off with your own eyes.

I was already planning to do that. I went to the dyno twice so far.

137.8 whp with a drop in K&N
141.3 with an AEM CAI.
Hoping for 145whp with the cams... untune

thank you for the infos!
