Default 200k miles for 6th gen Civic=HIGH???

I've been seeing quite a few 6th gens being sold. I can't believe the prices they want with over 200k. So what's the avg lifespan of the car, considering they change things like water pump, timing belt, alternator, starter, radiator?

Dang. I got rid of my 94 Celica after it hit 150k and it was still running smooth. Just needed a new clutch after 110k and that was it. I thought that was pretty good.

yeah, but regardless it's a honda, so keep up basic maintenence and it will run forever!!!!

and if the engine finally gives out just spend a grand and get a whole other d swap

My 99 y8 has 192-193k and change and still running strong. I redline it multiple times a week too. I just need a valve lash adjustment and new transmission (both my brother - previous owner - and I have beaten the **** out of it so the transmission has gone through a few fixes ).

I don't doubt my car can run til 250k. Just need to keep maintaining it.
