Default 94 sol d16y8 antifreeze leak

alright so i recently built a y8 for my sol. i put it in broke it in and after about 2500 miles my temp guage spiked up to H....i stopped at a stream filled the empty radiator up with water and drove it to my friends shop...we couldnt find any leaks anywhere. i drove it home and bought a new waterpump for it. changed out the pump while i hooked up my a/c. if i let the car idle for about 15 min after driving it the temp guage will go to hot until i start driving it and when i beat on it i can smell that faint sweet smell of antifreeze. did a compression test and all cylinders read the same no loss of power so i dobt head gasket...i still have to stop every cpl hundred miles and fill up the rad. any ideas what could be doing this ....and like i said there is no leaks anywhere weve checked a million times...not noobs at all in the honda field and this is a stumper

check the drain plug might be leakin alil and possibly check the o-rings that are on the tube that runs from the thermostat to the water pump. could be possibly a hole in the radiator?

the only thing i could think would be that in either the ports in the head..intake or exhaust maybe a crack? so the antifreeze gets either sucked into the piston and shot out or its getting sprayed into the exhaust ports once i get hight revs and the waterpump creates more pressure in the motor

possibly but if its got that hot hopefully the head hasnt worp or either has the block you can have it always checked out some where. in the mean time while its off u have plenty of places to check where its going. possibly just a nipple getting loose and leaking alil on the intake manifold. you never know. its about 50 bux for a gasket and its not hard to time. its up to you, your money and patience.

go to autozone and rent out the coolant pressure tester and the import adapter......its about $120 which you will get back when you return the sfuff....you hook it up to the radiator where the cap goes, and pump 5-10 times....you will see antifreeze flow out from where the leak is.....
