Ok guys I have a 2000 honda civic 5sp 2dr

my horn is not working, neither is my cruis control
i checked my fuse under the hood and it is still good i even replaced it

o by the way the horn and the cruise control was working and now it just stopped

so i thought it might be wring in the steering wheel

so i ripped that apart and there is a wire in there that is light brown and isnt plugged into to anything

and there is a plug in the center of the wheel that is has two spots open in the plug

Does your steering wheel have a ribbin cable in it?

Those are known to break over time, and that would cause everything on the wheel not to work like you mentioned.

 

NO I PRETTY SURE IT DOESNT HAVE THE RIBBON CABLE YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT
BC I HAD A YELLOW ONE OF THOSE ON MY INTEGRA

Yes you do have a CABLE REEL if your car is a 2000 civic. The cable reel makes the connections for the airbag and the cruise/horn so if that connection is broken you may loose your horn and cruise control.

 

so what do i do replace that whole lille circular black piece that sits right behind the steering wheel
