just got my Tein's
just got in my Tein basic dampers for my EG hatch, and come to notice, modacar.com sent me the model for the EK - i don't think this is a problem though, is it? Aren't the suspensions on EG and EK are almost identical?

i just went out and did a preliminary look - yeah the bottom fork on the rears seems to be a little wider than the Tociko blue's that are on the car now. But, there was a fair sized gap between the fork and the actual control arm. I thinking they might just work.

wait hold on, I thought it was that EK rear control arms were thinner (according to previous post) thereby making it difficult to wedge a rear suspension designed for an EK over an allegedly thicker EG rear control arm .......... making this install relatively impossible. is this the case?

So THATS what happened. Some dude sold me Tokico blue and eibach springs for 200 and the rear shock forks were hella wide. I had to use spacers... But it worked out just fine. So I geuss what im saying is-> you'll be fine.
Oh and BTW quick poll on spring preferance
Ebay adjustables or Eibach Performance? Im looking for a stiffer ride.

No one. The OP is taking about interchangeable suspensions. I wanted to clarify that EG and DC suspenssion are interchangeable.

uhh yeah. the subject is ek and eg, you're talking about eg and dc?
well to the original poster, ek rear lca's bushings are thinner than eg's. So, in order for you to put the ek suspension on, your rear lca bushings will need to be shaved/milled.

well any EG suspension will fit on a EK but a stock EK rear struts wont fit a EG.
only difference on the front struts is the brake line brackets which you can knock off and put onto your new struts if they dont come with them.
my old tok... blues where interchangable from 92-00 since they had the front brake brackets and wide rear forks and just spacers so they would fit a EK.
but my koni yellows at least in the rear are EK specific.
