Sounds like you popped a charge pipe out of the coupling.

I concur. W/o a solid, leak-free connection between turbo-intercooler-intake, you get no boost. If thats not the problem, look at the turbo inlet & outlet. Chipped/shattered blades = fail.

with the "boom" noise and the turbo sounding like its spooling but not getting boost i would say its 99% chance the intercooler piping became disconnected somewhere

yes thank god it was just a charge pipe.
thanks for the quick replys, but right after i posted i took it down to my shop (2 miles) and the pipe from the turbo to the intercooler poped off. i hope that didnt do any damage. i think it poped off because i turned up the boost. problem fixed and iam happy gettin my bike outa the shop tomarow. sorrry for rambling

look at your car and inspect ish next time, 2 lines into your post and most of us already knew what it was, do you know why? cause when we hear a bang we investigate and we learned.

I couldn't even being to imagine hearing a noise like that and not investigating it. Hell if I hear the slightest noise or something feels the least bit off I pop the hood and diagnose until I'm convinced I have fixed everything or that there wasn't anything wrong in the first place. If you don't do some investigating first how are you ever going to learn?

+1. Sounds like this kid has a ton to learn before he should be driving this car any more.

This is the simplest of "failures" that can occur while driving an aftermarket boosted car.

If this problem were anything other than a pipe disconnection, your engine may have been ghandi by the time you got it to the shop. Not to mention that you should have been able to find the problem without taking it to the shop. I'm not a turbo guru, but performing a quick inspection of the intake pipes doesn't take a mechanic. If you continue to drive this car, when something clearly goes wrong with it, you TOW it to the shop.

I'm not laying hate on this, i'm warning you that you need to do some serious homework or it will cost you dearly.
