Default possible trade for a honda civic hatch w/ b18!!! need advice!!!!!

Ok so I have a 96' eclipse gst w/ lots mods upgraded turbo the usual, Its currently not running but fixable. I have a guy who wants to trade me a 94 hatch w/ b18 swap adjustable suspension. However it looks like crap because its primered and what not. Is this worth it. Is there anything I should look for in swapped car. I know absolutely nothing about swapping honda motors. Any help would be great thanks!!!!!!

b18 what? ls,gsr, typer? i think it depends on how much you have done to your gst and how much bondo was covered up with that primmer....just make sure you look into it before you buy it:

check rear quarters on the inside for rust
door jams for rust
make sure its vtec
check for leaks by the hatch and sunroof if it has one

theres a couple to name a few im sure others will chime in

How attached are you to your car, and yeah, make sure the body is straight and your satisfied with the motor, VTEC or not.

Unless ya need a car right then and there for work, school, etc... I would look to trade for a stock car, or close to stock as possible.

well thanks for the help. I need a car now, but my car is not running and I have not had that many good offers. So is it a bad idea to get a car w/ a swapped motor. I mean it only has 1,500 miles on the motor and 150k on the car.
thanks again

well 1500 on the motor means it was rebuilt fully so its one thing to get a jdm engine that was running when it came out of the car opposed to a motor that was freshly built..what i mean is alot of stuff can go wrong with a fresh motor that you wont know about maybe for a couple thousand more miles....just use your head and knowledge and you'll be fine
