Default problems after obd1 conversion

i just wrapped up my mini-me/obd1 conversion last night, and the car ran fine on the obd0 setup, but after i converted to obd1 i'm throwing a code 9 (cyp sensor) and the car runs like crap.. i know the cap needs to be replaced but i don't think it could be causing the car to run this bad.. its an a6 block, y8 head, z6 distributor and p28 ecu.. thanks in advance for any help

Im not to sure, but I know when you run OBD 0 two oxy sensors are used, and in OBD1 only one is used. I have an ITR header with one bong and I cant use it until i convert over to OBD 1 which will eliminate the other oxy sensor. Oxy sensors could make your car run like crap. Try looking into it see what others know

He's got a code 9... Oxygen Sensors won't cause this.

You need to double check that you put the wires in the correct places on the distributor connector and at the ECU. Did you use a jumper at the ECU? Brand? How about a jumper at the distributor? Is this a new/known good OBD-1 Distributor? What's wrong with the cap?, cracked?

The cap was just old and needed to be replaced, it ran great when i put a new one on it. Its still throwing the code 9 though, i have triple checked my distributor jumper, and i ordered my harness off ebay, not sure of the brand.

The distributor was from a salvage yard, so i'm pretty sure it's the problem.

Did you reset the ECU? If not, do so to see if the code still remains afterwards. If it does remain see below.

Is there 350-700 ohms?
NO = Replace Distributor
Yes = Read further in manual...
</TD></TR></TABLE>

I'd hate for you to replace the distributor unnecessarily if something happened to your wires.
