I have a '94 LS and the other day the top tank of the radiator cracked, the A/C worked great at the time. Yesterday I get the new radiator and put it in, then when I turned on the A/C it blows out hot air, air that's even hotter than outside air (it was 105*F at the time). I've checked fuses and relays, double checked the wiring on the elec fans to make sure I hooked them up right.
Only thing I possibly hurt is when I pulled out the secondary fan I had to move an A/C line, it had some give to it so I didn't think it'd hurt it.
Any ideas to what's wrong? It's 110*F outside and I hate driving everywhere with the windows down sweating my brains out.

 

Does the condensor fan come on when you turn on the ac?

 

I'm assuming you mean the driver side fan that only comes on when A/C is on. Yes it comes on when the A/C is on. I called the stealership and they said to check the freon sight glass, but I have no clue where the hell that is, any ideas on that?
BTW, did you get yours fixed? I saw your post about it but didn't find any followups. Thanks.

 

Is the compressor running?

 

For me it turned out I shorted the condensor fan wires and blew the fuse under the hood (as opposed to inside).

About the freon site glass. Never heard of it. But I'll check my helms and get back to you.

 

Yeah, the compressor is running. I also checked the fuses (again) and none of them were blown.
Right now I think that when I moved the line that sits over the condenser fan the line or one of it's fittings started to leak. I'm done screwing with it for now, I don't have the money to have it leak tested.

 

I was looking at the helms and it looks like the leak test is your next step which you already figured out. Sorry.

 

I appreciate the help, now I just have to grin and bear it until next week.....
