Default Wheel studs ?

I need new front brakes so I started on the drivers side and found one lug nut really hard to get off. Well I kept trying and the stud snapped off. I just got new tires so of course I and thinking they cross threaded it. I put the brakes in and the wheel on with three lug nuts and try to do the other side and two of the nuts are the same way so I stopped before I broke those.

The question is can I replace the studs or do I need the entire hub ? If I can just replace the studs how they didn't look like the come out to me. Like they are pressed in or something.

I'm planning on going to the tire place and making them the the ones on the passenger side off.

Strangely enough I just registered to post a similar question so I'll just post in here instead of making an entirely new topic. I bought new tires and was removing the spare I had on the front passenger. I ended up snapping the stud in two. Went ahead and removed the brakes, rotor, etc in an attempt to replace said stud. The problems is that I can't get the hub off and my buddy says that I need something called a "3 ton jack." Do I need said tool or is there an easier way of doing this?

you can replace just one stud. just get a 12x1.5 stud from your nearest autozone or pep boys.

you might wanna take it to a shop to get it pressed in though.

So I went to the store and they did have just the studs. To put them in do I have to remove the hub. Sounds like it from what I have read.

working at a tire shop i know this happens even if we careful i have put a lug on by hand only to have it get stuck on the car. you can replace one stud, i would take it back to the shop that you had change the tires and make them pay for it, because they should since they put it on.

I went back to the goodyear dealer and they "gave me a deal" and charged me 50 dollars to replace the 3 messed up ones on both sides. It's not really that much but I say it's their fault.

But now I have good brakes again.

Now I just need that front strut replaced. And fix the loud air blowing noise on the drivers side
