Default Mini me swap confusion!!! Sorry faq didn't help...

I wanna do a mini-me swap on my '90 CRX european model. My engine is a D16Z5 all stock.
My question has to do with choice of heads. Iv heard i need:
- A VTEC head: Which model can i use? Does any 1.6 VTEC head fit mine? I'v seen one from a DEL SOL. Will that fit? Which head is BEST to use, and how do i identify it (from ebay for instance). Can i use any 1.6 VTEC head?

- Gasket set from VTEC head

- Timing belt from VTEC head

- Valve cover and gasket

- RPM activated switch or VTEC controller: Can this be any 1.6 VTEC controller or switch?

- Adjustable fuel pressure regulator

- Timing light etc

Basically, i have to buy these parts from Ebay.com as i'm in Scandinavia and VTEC heads are rare. Is there another place than Ebay where i can get ALL the parts for this swap. Can anyone sell me a swap 'kit'? Oh, and at has to be 'cheap' as i'm a mechanical engineer student

Sorry about posting this 'common' question, but i just got confused with the faq section. But, thats what a forum is for, right

Thanks guys!

Dave

the D16Z5 being a DOHC engine cannot be converted to VTEC - there are no DOHC D16 VTEC engines - SOHC VTEC D16 heads won't work on the DOHC block - the Del Sol VTEC is a B-series engine - completely different from D-series

yes - you would be best off with a B-series VTEC, like B16A - your stock D16Z5 should be quicker than any stock SOHC D-series VTEC

Are you saying i should just keep my D16Z5. I'm happy with it actually, but everyone keeps hyping about VTEC

just keep the Z5 and put a pair of bigger camshafts in it and bore out the throttle body to 60mm - a 4.25 final drive transmission would also be a big help, if you don't already have one - lots of things you can do to it for the $2500 (U.S.) that it would take to swap to B-series

Yeah keep the z5. In my opinion Single cam vtec isn't worth the money. Just go b-series if anything.
