Default Turbo EG GSR project!

Hey all, ive got a 94 EG sedan with a GSR motor and due to the buyer backing out, i now want to keep the car.
I am looking at getting either a Revhard or Peakboost kit. Has anyone had any dealings with these kits before? if so what feedback do you have?
2. The mods on my engine so far are: Exedy clutch and flywheel, Skunk2 IM, ITR throttle body and Mugen headgasket...
using the T3/TO4E Garret turbo, anyone used this? what sorta Rpm does it spool up and hit full boost etc? and does anyone know what sorta power ill be looking at on 7psi?"

Thanks alot
Christian

cant tell you what the turbo will do for your set up.
the same exact set up in 2 different cars will produce two different whp.

but i switched over to a peakboost partial system from my buddy and i like no problem with manifold or downpipe.
id go with peakboost to get the equal length manifold if i had to choose between those 2

and your going to need fuel pump ,injectors and tuning

Peakboost kit > revhard any day of the week.

Don't they let you specify which trim you want?

Its time to read the FAQ's..........you have a lot of questions (in this thread and other threads) that will be better answered if you take the time to research it yourself.

There are a LOT of people who make turbo kits and are reputable..........

Full-race
Peakboost
AFI
Spoolinperformance
Boostfed (forgot which kits he sells)

There are a lot more, these are the ones off the top of my head. You could also build your own kit from scratch or start off with a mani, dp and turbo from one of these vendors. Time to research and then you will be able to make an informed decision.

I would reccomend getting the afi street kit. I think its very well made and def the most reasonably priced for sure. I just got their bottommount kit and its awesome.

I had a t3/t04e on my gsr..i think it was .63 turbine/.70 comp. I had a tial 38 wg and there was supposed to be an 8 psi spring in it but i'm guessing it was like 4psi, anyway i used that combo with a blitz boost controller and it hit 8 psi at like 5000, idk if it was just the combo or the turbo size or what. I was also using a ssautochrome manifold that i got for cheap (that never cracked ) but i would go with peakboost or full-race or something if i were you. One of my buddies has a gsr with a full-race ramhorn and a 57 trim and it spools up by like 3000 on 8 psi, its very fun!

Fullrace manifolds are one of the best you will buy and you get what you pay for and I have used them for a while now on both Honda and Evo's.

Man, once again............SEARCH AND READ THE FAQ's!!!!

If you want to know what people think about FR kits then search!! It's time you did some research and figured out what you think for yourself. I already gave you 5 options of kits from people who make good **** and are reputable. Why ask if you aren't going to listen??? If you are just going to ask about every kit manufacturer around you are just waisting people's time. Do some searching on here (the RED button tittled SEARCH) in the upper right of this page. Make sure you check the "archived" button to. If there is anything people aren't scared to give on H-T, it's their opinions. People write about every kit you could ever purchase. SEARCH!! GL.

a 44mm wastegate has less chance of creepin' than a 38mm. that's the difference.

That is not entirely correct. A bigger wasted gate is not always a good thing it just depends on your setup and how much boost your on.

Of course the setup will always come into play. But that's how it generally works. Try telling the guys with a 35R that's running a moderate amount of boost to use a 38mm.

Well it seems ive narrowed it down to a Full Race kit, Either a stage 1 GT AC kit OR a Stage 2 AC Kit both Pro Street kits.
All i have to do is find out what turbo would suit me better.
The Stage one GT kit uses the "GT2860RS Ball Bearing Turbo with T3 housing"
and the stage 2 kit uses the "T3/60-1 Turbo"
id like the turbo to start boosting around 3000rpm or a little before that but i want it to keep making power till 8000rpm

How much power are you looking for? The GT2860 would be my choice on a responsive, quick spooling, sub-375 whp street application.
