Default 4 door EF not engaging gears.

Edit: fixed the engaging problem, now the car hits 3k and sounds like its hitting the rev limiter.

Any help or suggestions are appreciated.

TIA.

Lol haha that wasit, but now the car bogs out when it reaches 3k, like if the rev limiter was at 3k.

Doesn't that mean you're in Limp Mode?

I'm thinking the same, but what would be the reasons for it to be in limp mode?

8000 posts and you don't know how to search?

The 3k rev limit most of the time is because of a distributor wiring issue.

I don't frequent this section much and i admit I didn't search. I'm on my phone right now and searching would be an un-holy task. I have never done a swap on a ef. Take it easy on me guys.

So you are saying it might be a dizzy wiring issue? How would I check that? Any helpful links or advice would be highly appreaciated.
