Default map sensor ? mpg

i just purchased a 96 civic w/ a b20/v. it has a hondata s100 chip in it and i'm pretty sure the car used to be boosted. it also has an aftermarket fuel pump in it. well looks like stock injectors. anyways want to pull the map sensor and see what sensor might be in it. where is it located? and how do i tell the brand and specs of it? the car is averaging 22-23 mpg w/ the lightest foot possible. i know it doesn't help that i have an si tranny but i thought i would get more like 25-26 mpg. maybe it just needs a good tune. any help is greatly appreciated.

Get it tuned with a properly functioning O2 sensor, make sure it operates at 14.7:1 in closed loop.

Also check

Tire Pressure
Alignment
Wheel bearings
Brakes for dragging

This should fix the majority of mpg issues.

You'll probably get your best fuel economy cruising at 55-60 mph. Aerodynamic resistance increases with the square of speed, so the amount of fuel consumed at 70-80 is a lot higher since aerodynamic drag is the principle loss at that speed.
