a different take on tagging manifolds
i don't know why i didn't think of this sooner... maybe because i'm dumb and got the idea from someone else (manifoldmike). these are 16g 304ss, and i'm planning on getting some done bigger in aluminum as well for charge piping etc.

oh yeah, and here's the miata mani the first one went on, just need to add the wg.

I'm surprised that most of the manifold makers aren't serial numbering them and keeping a log of them.. Make that plasma do that too!

Yeah for sales, book keeping whatever
and not to mention legitimacy

A month or so back, I saw a full-race manifold with something similar. Ever tried heating the letterings with a torch? and see what letters/corners are prone to bending up or down? Who knows, it may happen.
I still prefer names being engraved/etched into the head flange, much cleaner.
But yea, about serial numbering them. Why don't anyone actually do this for warranty purposes etc? and to exactly pinpoint the (sales/production date- location of sales, etc?) I don't know, It may be useful to know these data's..

the down side of the engraved head flange is it isn't always visible. in a lot of applications, the turbo may hide it, or if it is a v6, you won't really notice it. with something like this, you can put it anywhere you want for, even on downpipes, or ss charge piping.
plus, these are also probably much cheaper than an engraved head flange. $1.50 - $2.50 per piece depending on size and complexity of the design.

NRG-tech tags everything they make in-house w/ their logo and serial number on each piece. they have been doing it for awhile now.
looks awesome weir

Yeah, AMS does the cutout letter thing and so does Mike from DC....looks great tho!

I recalled seeing their SRT4 stuff, and never caught them having it.

lol Those AMS manifolds are garbage. When i worked at Shearer I got to personally examine a bunch of those and they just plain suck. The tubing isnt properly fit and their angles are cheated. I would buy anything except.....nice logos tho
